Treatment
-
Within
these individualized intensive treatment sessions, a wide variety of
music experiences are presented, dependent
on their capabilities and
needs, their treatment plans, their emotional level on any particular
day, and previous musical
interactions.
Basing clinical improvisations on an individual’s vocal,
instrumental and kinesthetic responses, work
focuses on developmental
process in the areas of motor, communication, cognitive,
emotional and social
development.

Group

Small groups
consist of anywhere from two to six individuals.
The experiences presented vary depending on the
treatment plans
of the people involved. Examples
of groups include, but are not limited to, Social Communication
Groups, Alternate Communication Development Groups, and Social
Interaction Groups. Music
experiences presented in
these groups generally consist of
question/answer learning songs, instrumental improvisations, song
writing, vocal
improvisations, and lyric analysis.

Acoustic
Ergonomic (Sound
Environment) Services
-
Clinical research
indicates that every sound in your
environment has a significant effect on your physical health, whether or not your ears are
able to detect the sound or not. Through a process called
entrainment, the body rhythms (heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory
rate, etc.) will attempt to match the strongest beat in the
environment. While entrainment can be used to achieve positive
physiological results, unrecognized environmental sounds can cause a
wide variety of problems. Acoustic Ergonomic Consultations can
help detect possible concerns and provide the best possible sound
environment in your home or office.
